St. Andrew's welcomes students from all backgrounds who are looking for a more cost-effective route to university. This programme is tailored for students who have completed one or more years of A-Level study or graduated with good grades from a secondary school system (SPM/IGCSE/MYP).

It has a more practical approach compared to other pre-university courses with higher percentage of assessment via coursework (i.e. less exam focussed) and includes study, communication and other life skills necessary to be successful in university and beyond. Students of the foundation course have a higher pass rate than those doing A-Levels.

You will receive a Level 3 Diploma, Certificate and transcript from the Northern Council for Further Education (NCFE), an awarding organisation recognised by the qualification regulators for England and Wales allowing access to all UK universities except G5 schools (ie Oxford, Cambridge, Imperial, LSE and UCL) and Warwick.

Students will be required to take an exam for their core subjects to gain an understanding of their performance to date. The exam results will not be used for overall results, but will be discussed with a tutor and taken into consideration when putting together an Individual Learning Plan (ILP) if applicable.
